The handmade jewelry pieces Pavelka Design started out with were press-molded polyform clay, gilded, with drop beads. The qualities of polyform clay are lightweight & practically unbreakable, a far cry from porcelain. These make it a nice medium for large buttons, too. Here are some of our handmade
buttons along the same lines. They had an antique look rather
like ancient seals. People had a hard time deciding on the finishing
point first so I started designing the beginning point instead,
the patterns in 1994. |
